Mutation-powered multipliers bring a new dimension to fish-shooting
Award-winning TaDa is taking fish-shooting further into the post-apocalyptic world with Crazy Hunter: Zombie Rush, a mobile-first release that combines full-screen combat, evolving zombie targets and explosive bonus action for a 10,000x max win.
Building on the growing excitement around fish-shooting games, especially in Italy, TaDa is further developing its offering across regulated markets, bringing fresh settings and new gameplay dynamics to a genre that gives players skill-influenced opportunities and operators genuine differentiation.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Crazy Hunter: Zombie Rush uses the entire screen for the battlefield, placing players behind the rear-mounted cannon of an armoured jeep to take aim at waves of mutant zombies roaming the streets.
Players set the game parameters and begin shooting at targets, either manually or by automatic selection when they appear on screen. Each zombie has its own multiplier value and defeating a target delivers a bet-multiplier payout.
Crazy Hunter: Zombie Rush features a cast of characters with individual multiplier ranges, from lower-value zombies to more rewarding targets such as the Lab Assistant, the Mad Doctor, the American Footballer and the Big Boss Gorilla.
Adding a new dimension to fish-shooting, the novel mutation mechanic is central to the action. When defeated, the Lab Assistant and Mad Doctor unleash fluorescent green poison across nearby zombies, mutating those caught in its path. These zombies then turn fluorescent red and their multipliers rise significantly. Neither the Mad Doctor nor the Gorilla can themselves be mutated.
Defeating a mutated zombie also gives players a chance to trigger a Multiplier Gem bonus, with purple gems carrying 5x, blue 3x and green 2x multipliers.
The Gorilla provides another major target. Defeating this boss activates a special Gorilla Jackpot Wheel, offering three sections combining tens, units and a multiplier of 1x, 2x, 3x or 5x. The resulting figure from the first two sections is multiplied by the third section, adding a further dimension to the base game’s reward potential.
Every zombie hit has the potential to drop collectables which then fly into the alarm bell at the top right of the screen. This bonus game triggers at random adding to the anticipation.
In the bonus game, the cannon automatically fires 100 free bullets at the advancing zombies, with 50 more free bullets at each new stage. There can be up to four stages of gameplay to be reached. Defeated enemies drop radios, which are collected until enough have been gathered to detonate a multiplier bomb and clear the zombies from the screen, adding to players’ wins.
The more radios collected, the more bombs can be dropped, with bomb multipliers ranging from 2x to a generous 100x. The bonus game continues until the ammunition runs out, creating a fast-moving sequence that combines collection, target elimination and multiplier win opportunities.
Sean Liu, Director of Product Management, TaDa Gaming, said: ‘Crazy Hunter: Zombie Rush reflects TaDa’s continued investment in fish-shooting.
